Project Manager

PROFILE:

A multi-disciplinary manager with good inter-personal skills and operational experience of complex projects, especially in dense urban environments, combined with a strong command of the procedures applying to public contracts, issues in public transport and the responsibilities of contracting authorities (local authorities, public-private enterprises, public establishments, etc.).

MISSIONS:

The Project Manager:

  • takes all the necessary steps to enable the project team (on behalf of the public transport authority) to reach the targets set by the client in terms of the performance of the transport system, deadlines and the cost of the operation (investment, operation and maintenance),
  • manages relations and communications with all the project stakeholders (local elected officials, engineering companies and service providers working on the project, residents, the client’s agencies, etc.),
  • manages the project team: reporting, allocation of resources, etc.
  • manages the contract between Transamo and the client.

Project steering consultant

PROFILE:

Thorough and dedicated, combining self-sufficiency and good inter-personal skills. In-depth knowledge of the mechanisms for coordinating infrastructure projects and the internal and external procedures applicable to projects. In-depth knowledge of the regulatory procedures applicable to collective transport systems in dedicated lanes.

MISSIONS:

The project steering consultant performs missions to support Transamo’s project teams and external clients on public transport projects.
The scope of responsibility of project steering consultants varies according to experience (junior, experienced, senior or expert).

Their missions consist of:

  • providing assistance in the development of project management tools: project management plan, master schedule, detailed schedule, quality assurance plan, document management tool, project budget and budget control tools
  • providing assistance in project management: leading coordination and steering meetings, creating and updating the dashboards, risk analysis of the operation, anticipation of new developments in the project, alerts in the event of slippage and proposal of action plans, monitoring of regulatory procedures
  • contributing to the company’s capitalising on project management practices in order to produce internal feedback and deliver tools to Transamo’s project managers
  • conducting business management within the scope of their missions
  • contributing to or managing bids in response to requests for proposal
  • business development actions.

Study manager

PROFILE:

Engineer, architect, urban planner, or other Master’s degree, in a general pertinent field or specialised in geography and GIS, statistics and data analysis. Genuinely interested in transport and mobility issues, with strong analytical and inter-personal skills enabling them to work as part of a team and to lead meetings with clients. Basic understanding of GIS mapping software (MapInfo, Arcgis), database management tools (Excel, Access) and drawing software (Autocad, Adobe Illustrator).

MISSIONS:

The scope of responsibility of study managers varies according to experience (junior, experienced, senior or expert).

Their missions consist of:

  • conducting business management within the scope of their missions
  • conducting studies on mobility and the emergence of public transport projects: subjects related to data collection and analysis (surveys, GIS), to planning studies (choice of mode, creation or reorganisation of networks), urban integration (alignment of collective transport systems in dedicated lanes, transit hubs, soft mode routes), modelling and simulation of traffic and economic assessments
  • contributing to the company’s capitalising on experience
  • contributing to or managing bids in response to requests for proposal
  • business development actions.

Specialised engineer

PROFILE:

Engineer specialised in a technical aspect of urban transport (infrastructures, construction, operations, systems, rolling stock, fixed facilities, maintenance, ticketing systems, etc.).

MISSIONS:

The scope of responsibility varies according to experience (junior, experienced, senior or expert).

In their respective fields of expertise, their mission consists of:

  • conducting technical expert appraisals: expression of needs, writing technical and functional specifications, checking and approving the studies and documents of the project manager or industrial manufacturers, analysis of costs in their field of expertise (construction/infrastructure, operations, maintenance), managing the test and commissioning phases, etc.
  • contributing to the company’s capitalising on experience
  • conducting business management within the scope of their missions
  • contributing to or managing bids in response to requests for proposal
  • business development actions
  • technology watch in their field of expertise.

Legal counsel specialized in public law

PROFILE:

Thorough and dedicated, combining self-sufficiency and good inter-personal skills. In-depth knowledge of the mechanisms of public contracts, environmental law and urban development law. In-depth knowledge of the regulatory procedures applicable to collective transport systems in dedicated lanes.

MISSIONS:

The legal counsel specialized in public law performs missions to support Transamo’s project teams and external clients on public transport projects.
The scope of responsibility of legal counsel specialized in public law varies according to experience (junior, experienced, senior or expert).
Their missions consist of:

  • Providing assistance in legal expertise concerning public contracts (public procurement, negotiation, execution)
  • Negotiating and drafting engineering contracts
  • Negotiating and drafting complex contracts with ticketing industrials
  • Contributing to the company’s capitalising on project management practices in order to produce internal feedback and deliver legal tools to Transamo’s project managers
  • Legal monitoring in environmental law and urban development law

Interns

PROFILE:

mid-year or end-of-year internship (6 to 12 months) as part of a master degree’s program, preferably in general engineering, or specialising in transport. Self-sufficient, with a keen sense of initiative, good written and oral skills and an interest in public transport.

MISSIONS:

as team members comparable to those of a new recruit, our interns:

  • take part in ongoing missions/projects/bids in support of our project managers, consultants, engineers and study managers
  • contribute to the company’s capitalising on experience in a specific area: technical benchmarks, development of specialised tools, etc.
