In-depth knowledge of systems in operation
Transamo is a public limited company founded in 1994. Its two shareholders are both public transport operators: Transdev SA and Société de Transports intercommunaux de Bruxelles (STIB).
These two operators provide the company with invaluable information on the operational reality of systems and the cost of ownership (investment, operation and maintenance).
As an operator and global integrator of mobility, Transdev – The mobility company – gives people the freedom to move whenever and however they choose. We are proud to provide 11 million passenger trips everyday thanks to efficient, easy to use and environmentally-friendly transportation services that connect people and communities. Our approach is rooted in long-term partnerships with businesses and public authorities, and in the relentless pursuit of the safest and most innovative mobility solutions. We are a team of people serving people, and mobility is what we do. Transdev is jointly held by Caisse des Dépôts Group (66%) and the RETHMANN Group (34%). In 2018, with 82,000 employees in 20 countries, the Group generated total revenues of 6.9 billion euros.
STIB is the first belgian urban public transport company. It serves the 19 municipalities of Brussels-Capital Region as well as 11 municipalities of the Brussels periphery. It covers a surface of 241,5 km². This company provides transport to more than 1 million inhabitants on top of which you can add thousands of commuters. The STIB network includes four subway lines (40 km), 18 tram lines (139 km), 49 bus lines and 11 night bus lines (445 km). In 2017, STIB ensured not less than 400,9 millions travels.
